PSYCHEDELIC FURS Plan Decade-Awaited LP
"The Psychedelic Furs are at work on their decade-awaited new LP. No longer sitting pretty in pink, the 80’s new wave act currently on tour through January 29th, has begun sampling new tunes on the road, including "Cigarette", "Wrong Train" and "Alive." Despite Butler’s busy schedule which also includes, a solo record, the side project Love Spit Love and a pairing with Jon Carin (Pink Floyd, The Who, Bryan Ferry), he has been writing and trading song ideas with the band over the past few months. Butler and his brother Tim and guitarist John Ashton will independently work on the next Psychedelic Furs record at Butler’s New York home. A late 2005 or early 2006 release date is expected."
